Our client, a leading FMCG brand, is looking for an Head of Operations to be based Mumbai .

This leadership role will be responsible for driving the organization’s operations and manufacturing strategy , strengthening operational excellence, and supporting the company’s next phase of growth and expansion.
The role exists to ensure smooth execution across production, procurement, packaging, dispatch, and sales so that operations run efficiently. It is an execution-driven role focused on bringing structure, follow-through, and operational clarity across departments.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
● Oversee daily factory operations across production, packaging, stores, and dispatch
● Ensure smooth workflow between teams and timely execution of plans
● Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks
Production & Supply Coordination
● Align production planning with seasonal collections and gifting cycles
● Coordinate raw material planning and vendor follow-ups
● Ensure uninterrupted production through proactive planning
Quality & Process Discipline
● Ensure adherence to SOPs and operational processes and systems
● Oversee factory readiness for audits, certifications, and compliance requirements by coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring timely execution of required actions
Cross-Team Coordination




● Act as the primary coordination link between production, sales, procurement, and dispatch teams
● Ensure clear communication and follow-ups until closure
● Support operational readiness for launches, photoshoots, and special projects
Packaging & Fulfilment Oversight
● Monitor packaging inventory and printing timelines
● Ensure dispatch planning aligns with production readiness and delivery commitments
Leadership & Team Support
● Build accountability within teams and support development of team leads
● Serve as the first point of resolution for operational issues
● Escalate only critical matters to the Founder

Key Outcome of the Role
● Daily operational decisions and coordination are managed independently
● Teams function with clarity and accountability
● Production and dispatch run smoothly with fewer last-minute escalations

● Hands-on and comfortable working on the factory floor
● Highly organized with robust follow-up skills
● Practical problem solver who takes ownership
