We’re looking for a Consulting Lead who can operate at altitude and ground level — shaping thinking, leading client conversations, and turning ambiguity into momentum.
This role is for someone who feels equally comfortable with clients, on whiteboards, and close to delivery teams.
The Role overview
We are seeking a Consulting Lead for our Advisory & Experience team in India – a digital strategy and transformation leader who can drive innovation and value for our clients while collaborating with Avanade’s global network.
In this senior role, you will lead end-to-end client engagements, shape cutting‑edge solutions in areas like experience design, AI transformation, and large‑scale change, and ensure flawless delivery of digital initiatives.
This India‑based leadership position is locally focused but truly part of a regional/global team – you will co‑create with experts across Southeast Asia and worldwide, bringing the best of Avanade’s global expertise to solve local client challenges.

Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Engagement
Lead client engagements and act as a day‑to‑day trusted advisor.
Confidently engage senior stakeholders, including C‑suite and agency leadership.
Frame complex problems, guide decision‑making,
and build client confidence.
Design and facilitate high‑impact workshops (discovery, visioning, prioritisation, co‑creation).
Strategy, Design & Problem Solving
Apply Design Thinking and human‑centred design to reimagine products, services, and operating models.
Develop AI‑enabled transformation roadmaps with a focus on automation, productivity uplift and process transformations.
Translate ambiguous challenges into clear strategies, roadmaps, and action plans.
Develop compelling, executive‑ready presentations that tell a strong story.
Balance strategic thinking with practical, buildable solutions with a focus on technology and AI enabled Transformations.
Shape and sharpen digital products and experiences, working closely with architects and engineers across CRM, AI, data, and cloud platforms – with strong exposure to the Microsoft ecosystem (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure Infra & Apps, Azure Data & AI, Copilot, and OpenAI). Also, exposure to other cloud and data platforms such as Google, AWS could be beneficial.
Stay close to build: validate concepts through prototypes, backlog refinement, delivery trade‑offs, and golive realities ensuring ideas survive contact with engineering and operations.
Team & Practice Leadership
Actively contribute to practice growth in India, including capability building, talent development, and delivery excellence.
Global Collaboration: Operate as part of Avanade’s regional Asia Pacific team and global community, sharing knowledge and co‑delivering projects to bring the best global thinking to clients.
Lead, mentor, and develop consultants, analysts,
and designers across engagements.
Set and uphold quality standards for storytelling, facilitation, and client deliverables.
Support sales and presales activities including discovery workshops, proposal shaping, and client pitches.
Build strong internal networks across India, Southeast Asia, and global Adx teams to scale impact.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
10+ years of experience in consulting, digital strategy, experience design, or digital transformation.
Strong background in a top‑tier or boutique consulting firm preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading client engagements and multi‑disciplinary teams.
Proven exposure to technology‑enabled solutions, spanning discovery through build and launch (not strategy‑only roles).
Experience engaging senior client stakeholders across industries; India market exposure strongly preferred.
Core Skills
Strong design thinking, facilitation, and workshop leadership capability.
Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Structured problem solving with a human‑centric lens.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, make sound judgments, and drive clarity.
Comfort bridging business, experience, and technology discussions.
Good understanding of Cloud, Apps, Workplace, Data & AI and ERP, CRM technologies.
