IFRS 18 –

Assess and implement IFRS 18 requirements relating to the presentation and disclosure of financial statements, including revised income statement structure and mandatory subtotals.
Interpret IFRS 18 guidance and translate accounting standard changes into operational financial reporting requirements.
Define, document, and maintain Management‑Defined Performance Measures (MPMs), including reconciliations to IFRS measures and supporting disclosures.
Update accounting policies, reporting templates, and disclosure notes to reflect IFRS 18 requirements.
Support IFRS 18 transition activities, including parallel runs, comparative disclosures, and adoption planning.
Act as a key finance contact for IFRS 18 interpretation discussions with Group Accounting Policy and External Auditors.

SOX 404 – IFRS 18 Impact





Identify and assess SOX 404 impacts arising from IFRS 18‑driven changes to financial reporting and disclosures.
Ensure all IFRS 18‑related reporting changes are supported by effective internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
Update and maintain SOX documentation, including process narratives, risk and control matrices (RCMs), and control descriptions impacted by IFRS 18.
Coordinate walkthroughs, control design assessments, and operating effectiveness testing for IFRS 18‑impacted controls.
Support remediation of any control deficiencies arising from IFRS 18 implementation.

Risk, Governance & Audit
Assess new financial reporting risks introduced by IFRS 18 and ensure alignment with the Group Risk Management Framework.
Track issues, actions, and remediation plans relating to IFRS 18 and SOX through established governance forums.
Prepare reporting for senior management and Audit Committees on IFRS 18 readiness and SOX control status.
Act as a key liaison with Internal Audit and External Audit on IFRS 18 and SOX matters.
Support management SOX certifications by ensuring timely completion of testing and resolution of audit observations.

Controls & Compliance

Ensure consistent documentation, traceability, and audit trails linking IFRS 18 requirements to financial reporting outputs and SOX controls.
Maintain governance over accounting judgements and disclosures to ensure transparency, consistency, and auditability.
Drive standardisation and control discipline across entities affected by IFRS 18 reporting changes.
