Job Role & Responsibilities

Business generation and business development of Ion Exchange Products and services which includes water and wastewater treatment plants and equipment, speciality chemicals, resins and services in the states of North East.

Thorough and in depth knowledge of the industrial/institutional geography in the North Eastern states with updated knowledge of new and upcoming projects and their respective stakeholders.

Proven track record of product promotional activities, carry out market research and activities, penetration of unexplored areas, database collection and analysis.

Develop and maintain relationship at all levels with key industry stakeholders, consultants, influencers, decision makers across industries and institutional segments.

Undertake promotional activities, business development activities and business generation for Ion Exchange products and services e.g. water and wastewater treatment products, process chemicals, resins, and service business like spares, retrofit, automation, membranes, modernization etc.

In depth understanding of customer’s requirement and expectation with respect to develop business relationship at all levels across industrial and institutional segments

Study of competitor activities across the region and accordingly form counter strategy to improve upon market share.





Implementation of Key Account Management across the region for key customers with the support of the sales team to maximise business from the KAM customers.

Qualification & Experience

Graduate. Technical qualification is desirable but not essential.

10-12 years of experience in working with all industrial/community segments for marketing of products/plants/projects/consumables in North East geography. Knowledge in water and waste water treatment is desirable but not essential. Should have excellent domain knowledge in case not from water treatment background.

Should have proven track record of business generation from industrial/non industrial segments of North Eastern customers and govt departments.

Focus on activities for improvement in operations, understanding the expectations of customer and implementing necessary modifications to match customer’s expectation and needs

Need to be motivated for application and process based marketing activities and to generate enquiry funnel from unexplored areas and business units.

Experience in organising customer meets and seminars, product promotional and technical presentation to influence a gathering of customers and influencers.
