Job Summary

- We are seeking an experienced SAP SD and Variant Configuration (LO VC / AVC) Consultant to support end to end design, configuration, and delivery of configurable products within SAP S/4HANA. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, cross functional teams, and technical experts to implement scalable SD processes and robust product configuration models that drive reliable order to manufacture execution.
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
- Configure and support core SD components: sales order management, pricing, billing, shipping, delivery processing, and credit management.
- Set up and maintain customer master, material master, condition records, partner functions, and sales document types.
- Design and optimize OTC (Order-to-Cash) processes across global business units.
- Troubleshoot SD issues related to ATP, pricing, credit checks, delivery creation, shipment processing, and intercompany flows.




- Integrate SD with MM, PP, FI/CO, and WM as part of the E2E flow.
- Support S/4HANA Fiori apps for sales management and reporting.
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, and forms (RICEFW objects).
- 2. Variant Configuration (LO VC / Advanced VC)
- Design, build, and maintain configuration models for configurable products.
- Create and manage:
- Characteristics & value sets
- Classes
- Configuration profiles
- Object dependencies (constraints, procedures, selection conditions, actions)
- Super BOMs and Super Routings
- Variant tables and table constraints
- Implement AVC-specific logic such as:
- Dependency nets
- Constraint-based configuration
- Subset, HAS_VALUE, and UI modeling (for AVC)
- Ensure accurate BOM explosion and routing selection based on configuration.
- Troubleshoot issues related to variant matching, BOM inconsistencies, sales order configuration errors, and pricing dependencies.
- Coordinate with engineering and product teams to manage changes via ECN (Engineering Change Number).
- Support mass root activities (material variants, class assignments, value updates).
- Technical Expertise
- Strong hands on experience with:
- SAP S/4HANA SD
- SAP LO VC and/or Advanced Variant Configuration
- Cross module processes in PP, MM, PLM, FI/CO




- Condition technique (pricing, output, text determination)
- ATP (aATP preferred)
- Copy control and sales document flows
- Super BOM and routing structures
- SAP customizing (IMG)
- Ability to write clear functional specifications for ABAP development.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proactive, detail oriented, and comfortable working in fast paced project teams.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in SAP SD & VC (depending on seniority level).
- Experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
- SAP certification in SD or VC (preferred but not mandatory).
