Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous engagement with multiple teams to understand system behaviors and deliver timely solutions that maintain business continuity and enhance system reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Document findings and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance system stability.
- Support junior team members by sharing expertise and providing guidance on technical challenges.
- Work as a core member of a full-stack Agile pod, participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, design discussions, and retrospectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Playwright or similar.
- Develop automated tests across UI, API,



and integration layers to support continuous delivery.
- Integrate automated tests into CI CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Collaborate with developers to implement testability improvements and shift-left testing practices.
- Perform code reviews for automation scripts and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Build and maintain test data management and environment setup processes.
- Identify automation opportunities and reduce manual testing effort.
- Support release validation and production verification as part of the Agile pod.
- Monitor automation execution results and drive defect triage and resolution.

Professional & Technical Skills:

- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in API Testing.
- Experience in designing and executing comprehensive test cases for application programming interfaces to ensure functionality and performance.
- Robust analytical skills to identify root causes of defects and system failures.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and collaborate effectively with development teams.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum full-stack pod model.
- Experience with API automation using tools such as REST Assured or Karate or similar automation libraries.
- Strong understanding of test automation design patterns and framework architecture.
- Good understanding of microservices and web application architecture.

Additional Information:

- The candidate should have 10-15 years of experience in Automated API Testing.
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
