Job Title: Active Directory Security Engineer (IAM Remediation & Governance)
Location: Hyderabad / Bengaluru (Preferred) - Hybrid - PAN India

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Active Directory Security Engineer to support a critical IAM security remediation engagement following a compromised environment. The role involves deep Active Directory security assessment, incident response, recovery, and hardening, along with automation using PowerShell across Windows Server environments.
Key Responsibilities
Active Directory Assessment & Governance
Perform comprehensive Active Directory workplace assessment (users, groups, OUs, domains, forests, domain controllers)
Validate identity and access integrity, identifying:
Orphaned, stale, and unauthorized accounts
Privilege escalations and excessive access
Execute access and entitlement cleanup, including removal of unauthorized identities and privilege corrections
Enforce least privilege and RBAC models
Security Remediation & Incident Handling
Investigate and remediate compromised AD environments,



including:
Backdoor account detection
Persistence mechanisms (scheduled tasks, services, scripts)
Perform post-incident recovery activities:
System state backup and restore (authoritative/non-authoritative)
Domain controller recovery and validation
Identify and eliminate malicious processes and unauthorized services
PowerShell Automation (Mandatory)
Develop advanced PowerShell scripts for:
Bulk user and group management
Privilege and access remediation
AD health checks and automated reporting
Automate security operations and compliance checks across Windows Server and AD environments
Windows Server & AD Hardening
Implement security baselines and hardening controls, including:
Group Policy configuration
Password policies, account lockout, and Kerberos security
Secure LDAP (LDAPS) enforcement
Support installation, configuration, and secure setup of Active Directory components
