The Mission

Scalemetrics is scaling at a pace where manual financial operations are no longer viable. We are moving beyond simple automation to a state of Autonomous Finance. We need a high-execution Engineer to bridge the gap between complex accounting logic and robust Python-driven systems. Your goal: Build the "Financial Brain" of Scalemetrics—an engine that processes global transactions with zero manual intervention and 100% audit-readiness.

What You’ll Do

- Rapid Execution & Deployment: Move from workflow mapping to production-ready code. You will own the full lifecycle of automation, from shadowing financial experts to deploying "set-and-forget" pipelines.
- High-Fidelity Ingestion: Engineer advanced OCR and data extraction pipelines that handle multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction invoices with varying formats and languages.
- Integrity-First Orchestration: Develop and maintain secure API integrations between our custom stack and global accounting platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, or SAP), ensuring every byte of data is validated and reconciled.
- Audit-Ready Engineering: Build with the "Permanent File" in mind. Every script must leave a transparent, immutable trail for auditors, ensuring GDPR and SOC2 compliance by default.

The Profile We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

- Top-Tier Pedigree: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a Tier-1 university (IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani) or a top global equivalent.




- Domain Expertise: 5+ years of experience, with a significant portion spent in Audit Tech (e.g., Big 4 tech wings, Caseware) or FinTech (e.g., Razorpay, Stripe, Revolut). You understand the "why" behind a journal entry.

The Technical Stack

- Python Powerhouse: You write clean, modular, and highly efficient Python. Experience with Pandas, Pydantic, and asynchronous programming is expected.
- Data Architecture: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience handling structured/unstructured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Security Mindset: You treat credentials like nuclear codes. You have experience with secure secret management (Vault/AWS Secrets Manager) and end-to-end encryption.

The Financial Logic

- Linguistic Fluency: You don't need to be a CPA, but you must understand Double-Entry Bookkeeping, Revenue Recognition, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations. You should be able to argue with an accountant about why a transaction belongs in a specific ledger.
