Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Description - Logistics Analyst** The Supply Chain Services (SCS) group part of Product Support & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a 'ELS RMD Analyst - Logistics Analyst' position located in Bangalore, India facility. **Enterprise Logistics Solutions (ELS) Team Overview:** The Enterprise Logistics Solutions (ELS) being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), Shipping label and Analytics solutions. Supply Chain Services ELS team delivers value by initiating and participating in business-critical projects and solutions. **Job Summary:** This position is primarily responsible for timely resolution of RMD (Receipt Match Discrepancy), POD/Debit Dispute from global Suppliers for ELS supported Caterpillar manufacturing facilities. Core functions include working with suppliers to receive Proof of Delivery (POD), work with facility to confirm receipt posting/shipment arrival for the disputed invoice and work with accounts payable team to close the defect and credit or debit the suppliers based on the investigation process. **What You Will Do:** + Responsible to resolve Receipt Match Discrepancy (RMD) defects within 30 days from the defect triggered date and within 180 days from the Invoice Block date. + Work with the suppliers to receive the Proof of Delivery (POD) that adds as a supporting document that eases their payment process. + Collaborate with the facility team to ensure the receipts are confirmed from their end to approve the payment for the suppliers or debit them as per the response from the facility. + Work with the accounts payable team to close the RMD defects and either pay or debit the supplier based on the investigation and the confirmation received from the facility. + Perform effective RCCAs for the top RMD defects every month and work with suppliers and facility inbound team to avoid or reduce the defects for future months. + Monitor and collaborate with suppliers, facility and accounts payable team to reduce the aged RMD defects. + Prepare monthly metrics to monitor and improve the on-time RMD defect closure performance. + Performing internal quality audit to mitigate risk. + Proactive approach to improve performance and ability to take quick decisions. **Degree Requirement:** + Bachelor's degree in commerce/science/engineering or equivalent degree. + Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Supply chain management, Logistics, 3PL, Warehousing, Service parts Logistics and supplier performance management. **Additional Requirements:** + Effective oral and written communications skills required to collaborate with a wide variety of teams to achieve process deliverables. + Previous accounts payable experience is preferable. + Knowledge about Advance Shipment Notice (ASN) and ability to read and understand ASN raw data is preferable. + Independently work on issue resolution and enhancements to existing solutions. + Ability to prioritize and multi-task various responsibilities. + Must have a strong customer focus, teamwork and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people. + Must be flexible to work in different shifts to have enough overlap with global teams. **What You Have:** **Accuracy and Attention to Detail** :

principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes. **Level Working Knowledge:** + Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions. + Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain. + Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products or components. + Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities. + Works with a specific part of supply chain management process. **Transportation** **- MFG** : Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers. **Level Extensive Experience** : + Conducts joint planning with carriers to forecast short- and long-term transportation needs. + Coaches others on using various approaches for assessing transportation alternatives and selecting optimum mode. + Manages arrangements with all major modes of domestic transportation. + Negotiates and monitors rates and service controls with major carriers. + Participates in evaluation, selection, monitoring and termination of carriers. + Collaborates with shippers to plan for and mitigate the transportation capacity crunch.
