Job Description:

To lead the end-to-end physical validation of diesel and gas-powered generator sets. You are responsible for ensuring that the integrated unit (Engine + Alternator + Canopy) delivers reliable power under extreme environmental conditions and meets global regulatory standards

- Integrated System Validation: Lead the testing of full genset units, focusing on the synergy between the engine, alternator, and digital controllers.
- Standards Compliance: Certify products against ISO 8528 (Performance classes G1, G2, G3) and local emission norms (e.g., CPCB for India, necessary global markets).
- Transient Response Testing: Validate the genset’s ability to handle sudden load impacts and steps, ensuring voltage and frequency dip/recovery meet stringent requirements.
- Acoustic & Thermal Management: Manage NVH testing for canopy noise attenuation and "Cooling to Ambient" (CTA) trials to prevent overheating in restricted enclosures.




- Lab Infrastructure: Oversee high-voltage test cells, resistive/inductive load banks, and fuel consumption measurement systems.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead 8D investigations, FTA and other requirement

- Testing Hardware: Expertise in AC/Eddy Current Dynamometers and Programmable Load Banks (Resistive/Inductive/Capacitive).
- Measurement Tools: Proficiency in Power Analysers, AVL Indicating Bench (Combustion Analysis), and multi-channel DAQ for vibration and thermal mapping.
- Electrical Proficiency: Deep understanding of AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) tuning, Governor Droop settings, and synchronization of multiple gensets.
- Methodologies: Mastery of DFMEA, 8D, and Fishbone analysis to bridge the gap between lab failures and design improvements.
