nRole Overview The right person relishes evaluating and negotiating business opportunities to maximize cost savings and to ensure the best service. This person will manage projects by taking the lead in contract negotiations, risk mitigation, legal engagement and vendor management supporting all business functions for Fareportal globally.n





Applicants must possess 8+ years of hands on experience in IT/technology vendor procurement as well as demonstrated experience working within a Global vendor procurement process designed for a fast growing company. This highly visible role will offer dynamic impact; balancing business needs with cost efficiency and operational excellence. The ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, including effective influence management and soundly making decisions which have significant impact is key.

Responsibilities

n

- Drive continuous improvement through category management. Monitor and/or lead review of bid packages, proposals, selection of suppliers, and contract negotiations as well as other documents and deliverables.
- Conducts in-depth competitive market trend analyses, negotiates and/or renegotiates all contractual agreements. Take ownership in the administration of all third party agreements within Fareportal locally in India.
- Take lead in the development of commercial contract scope of services, SLA and compliance (PII, PCI, etc.) for all third party initiatives.
- Establish supplier performance criteria and SLAs for all third party vendor agreements.
- Through supplier account reviews,



measures the level of services that is being provided to business users.
- Identifies new cost-saving opportunities by working with internal stakeholders to define strategic direction and identify potential suppliers for stated procurement initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

n

- Must have a minimum of 8+ years of hands on experience in IT/technology procurement.
- Ability to manage both individuals on the local procurement team and internal stakeholders through setting clear expectations, deliverables, etc.
- Well versed in negotiating contractual terms including (but not limited to) pricing, payment terms, indemnification, and service level agreements.
- Help to further create, enforce, and streamline the use of standard business and legal terms for vendor contracts.
- Proven experience creating proposals, evaluating vendors and providing recommended improvements to a vendor procurement process design for a fast growing company.
- Experience working for an ecommerce or online travel industry organization a plus.
- In depth understanding of industry trends in contracting and vendor management practices.
- Strong sourcing skills and experience is required.
- Advanced negotiation skills and experience is required.
- Analytical skills and understanding of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities as well as differing priorities within stakeholder departments.
- Capable of educating end-user staff on governance rationale, concepts and processes.
- Communicates well downward, upward, and outward.
