As we scale, our platform needs to be faster, smarter, and more extensible. We are looking for a Product Manager: Platform who can help build the foundational systems that power growth, personalization, experimentation, and analytics at scale.

The role:

n

You will work at the intersection of engineering, data, and growth to build micro-services, experimentation frameworks, internal tools, APIs, and instrumentation that enable JoVE to innovate rapidly and scale reliably.

Responsibilities:

n

- Define and drive the roadmap for core platform services and micro-service architecture
- Partner closely with the engineering team to design scalable, modular systems
- Establish product instrumentation standards to capture meaningful metrics across the platform
- Design and launch APIs, internal tools, and reusable services that enable faster product experimentation
- Build systems that support personalization , content discovery and delivery , accessibility , and analytics
- Own platform KPIs including reliability, latency, adoption, and experimentation velocity




- Work with data teams to define event tracking frameworks and analytics infrastructure
- Reduce technical and vendor dependencies by identifying build vs. buy opportunities
- Ensure platform decisions improve product velocity across growth, content, and enterprise use cases
- Drive innovation at scale by enabling rapid feature iteration across global markets

Requirements:

n

- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- 2-5 years of Product Management experience
- Experience building products in EdTech, SaaS, marketplaces, healthtech, or consumer tech
- Exposure to backend systems, APIs, or micro-services driven architectures
- Familiarity with SQL, event tracking, data pipelines, or experimentation frameworks
- Experience defining and tracking product metrics beyond surface-level dashboards to measure and improve business performance
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
