Broad Function

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for providing support, management, and maintenance of the enterprise server environment, hardware, and software (OS). The setting is comprised of servers, storage, core Microsoft services, AV, content filtering and other core services. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in Core Technologies and have experience with hosted and in-house equipment with strengths in Microsoft technologies and Virtualization. Must be able to work within a group or as an individual contributor with a Company/Team first mentality and a focus on customer service.

Essential Functions

- Provide support for the Enterprise Computing environment. Focus areas will include operational responsibilities over:
- o HP & Cisco UCS Servers,
- o HP Nimble Storage
- o MS Hyper-V Virtualization or VMware (Server and Desktop)
- o MS Azure




- o Microsoft AD/DNS/Exchange/Office 365
- o PowerShell
- o Anti-Virus (MS Defender and/or SCEP)
- o Enterprise Backup (DPM and/or VEEAM)
- Provide support and assistance to issues reported through Incident Management tool and/or direct request from IT associates
- Perform Change Management duties that can include meeting representation, change implementation and technical support

Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to interface effectively with various levels of management, customers, and parts of operations
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines
