Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) Senior Consultant to join our finance transformation team. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in SAP RAR, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful project implementations, rollouts, and support. This role involves leading design discussions, configuring the system, and ensuring compliance with IFRS 15/ASC 606 standards.

Responsibilities:

- SAP RAR Solution Design and Development: Lead and participate in all phases of SAP RAR implementation projects, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live support.
- Expert Configuration: Design and implement complex configurations within SAP RAR, specifically focusing on Revenue Accounting Contracts (CC & OCM), performance obligations (POB), allocation, and contract modification scenarios.
- Integration Expertise: Ensure seamless integration between SAP RAR and feeder systems (e.g., SAP SD, SAP BRIM, non-SAP systems) using SAP RAR inbound processing configurations.
- Month-End Close (MEC) Activities: Oversee and troubleshoot MEC activities within RAR, including clearing, posting, and reconciliation processes.
- Advanced Concepts: Apply expertise in advanced RAR concepts such as fixed vs. actual exchange rate handling, day-based contract modifications, freeze and unfreeze functionalities, and portfolio approach.
- Technical Collaboration:



Work closely with ABAP/integration teams on custom enhancements, BAdIs (especially optimization BADI's), data migration programs, and interface development.
- Data Validation and Migration: Lead activities related to RAR data validation, quality assurance, and execution of data migration strategies (initial load and ongoing synchronization).
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the SAP RAR solution meets all regulatory requirements (IFRS 15/ASC 606) and support financial reporting needs (e.g., ABC process and GL entries postings).
- Documentation and Training: Create detailed functional specifications, configuration documents, and training materials, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for clients/internal teams.

Required Skills:

- Minimum 6-8 years of overall SAP experience, with atleast 4 years focused specifically on SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
- Deep knowledge of SAP RAR modules, including Contract Creation (CC), Contract Combination (OCM), Performance Obligation Identification, Allocation, and Contract Modification.
- Strong understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
- Hands-on experience with integrating RAR with upstream modules like SAP SD, SAP BRIM (e.g., CC, CI), and other external feeder systems.
- Expert in SAP RAR configurations, including inbound processing, POB identification rules, fulfillment keys, and BRFplus/decision tables.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and experience working with custom BAdIs and data extraction/migration tools in the RAR context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Exposure to ABAP debugging and SQL
- Experience with custom BAdIs and enhancements
- Knowledge of data migration tools and strategies in RAR
- Experience in financial reporting (GL postings, ABC processes)
- Prior experience in large-scale implementation or transformation projects
