In the Controllership organization,

our teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial reporting for USGAAP, IGAAP, work closely with Tax teams on various tax matters, collaborate with other finance functions on controls, reconciliations, reporting etc. Our objective is to ensure Financial results reflect the true and fair values

Primary Role & Responsibilities at a glance:

Balance sheet Perform detailed Balance sheet reconciliations for USGAAP reporting and IGAAP reporting. This includes readiness with the Quarter on Quarter flux analysis for the quarterly Balance Sheet review as per the BSR calendar

Monthly MIS for Country controllers review - Submission of the MIS pack to the India Controller for the previous month in the prescribed format

Contingencies / Disclosure Controls - Ensure that all the contingencies are reported accurately and in a timely manner to region through the country process for contingency.

Controls / Issues - Any specific control / Compliance issues to be identified and cleared on a monthly basis

Annual closing of accounts under India GAAP (End to End) Draw Balance Sheet, P&L; and Notes to accounts for statutory books close under IGAAP. Front end with statutory auditors in providing necessary clarifications, supporting, backups etc. Finalization of statutory accounts to be filed with ROC. Ensure Nil correction and audit entries are passed thereby emphasizing on doing it correct first time. Also to have Nil Audit entries to be passed during statutory audit at the instance of the auditor and no material prior period adjustments in audit. Specific working knowledge expertise required for IGAAP reporting on Share based payments IND-AS 102 and Lease accounting IND-116. Annual closing of accounts also includes interim transaction audit support and closing Interim Dec draft financials for Country Controller and also for EY reviews

Internal Audit and Testing on Internal Controls (IFC) End to End support in driving Internal audit under section 138 of the Companies and Internal controls over financial reporting testing u/s 143 of the companies act. Ensure all internal audit observations are closed with collaboration with the cross functions of the entity and necessary management responses are provided in finalizing the audit reports. Work on the improvisation of internal controls as identified during the IFC audit.

Tax Audit & GST Audit - End to end support in completing Tax audit u/s 44AB of the companies act and support tax team in finalizing TP study/certifications, support in filing ITR. All ICDS requirements to be addressed. End to End support required in completing the ITC reconciliation between ledger and 3B returns for annual GST audits.

Advance Tax submissions - Advance Tax computation to be ready, discussed and finalized with Tax tea by 10th of the month of payout for each of the quarters as per the advance tax calendar

Tax Provisions - Quarterly the FTP submissions to be done on time with no errors. To get a green score in PTE filing. Provide support in assessments, share buyback, dividend distribution etc wherever applicable

GST refunds -

1. To ensure application is filed for claiming refund of the GST tax and provide all the required support to enable refunds.

2. Support to the Tax organization (indirect tax team) for filing GST returns and and refund filing. The support includes documentation, data & EY as a statutory auditors certification.

3. GST input credits in GL are reconciled with GSTR-2A and variances identified, action taken on the mismatches. This is monitored each month to mitigate potential losses Look for opportunities of improvement in this area.

4. Complete understanding of GST regulation and support to the tax team in filing the GST returns and GST refunds. Quarterly refund filing of GST refunds within three months from end of quarter.

5. Accounting of GST refund claims as per EFR and tax team guidance to the respective input tax cost centers.


The Candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with a post qualification experience of 6 to 8 years. The Candidate should be ready to hit the ground running on day 1 and carry right attitude and adapt to HPE culture in taking Bold moves, Courage over comfort and We before I
