Job Description

Managing and controlling all the companys external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Materials.

Ensure materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time.

Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers (probably turnkey including design) who are aligned to the companys needs.

Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including

Discount structures and volume rebates.

Foster close working relationships with associated departments for e.g.Sales.

Continually improve purchasing methods and drive down external spending.

To carry out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology and identify implement improvements.

Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.

Maintain records of goods ordered and received.

Candidate Profile


Degree qualified or equivalent in a business related subject
