Job Description

Trade Onboarding is required to ensure a corporate customer is able to transact with DBS Bank for their financing needs, both electronically and physically. The role requires in-depth knowledge of Trade products (Doc Trade, OAT, SCF, ARP) with an inclination towards digitising manual workflows and innovations to improve processes.

Key Accountabilities

Trade implementation Mgr is required to have in-depth knowledge of Trade products (Doc Trade, OAT, SCF, ARP).

Ownership of onboarding process and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders

Know-how of Digital Trade to ensure onboarding of customers using platforms, giving innovative digital solutions using the banks channels.

Provide customer feedback to Product Management team, commenting on new system requirement, and assisting in live tests

Take the initiative of highlighting gaps in the solutions functionalities, and referring these to Product Manager.

Managing a team of Temp/Contract resources being used for onboarding assistance.

Job Duties & responsibilities

Onboard customers on DBS systems

Countries and products

File Formats and documentation

Data security and non-repudiation

Maintain database of Suppliers

Internal stakeholder communication

Recommend solutions

Setup and perform Live Txns

Vendor onboarding

MIS and vendor master maintenance

Client interactions for assisting them with BAU


Trade background:

Should have trade background with in-depth knowledge of Doc Trade, OAT, SCF, ARP

Should have banking experience

Should be digitally inclined

Education / Preferred Qualifications

Post Graduate Degree is preferred.

Strong soft skills in the following areas

Leadership skill and prior experience in managing a small team is preferred

Effective communication skill

Planning and organisation skill

Effective problem-solving skill

Time Management and Ability to work under tight timeline

Can-do attitude and strong commitment to deliver business objectives

Client-centric mindset

Change Agent ability to embrace change positively and effectively

Prior experience of GTS business is preferred, including general banking knowledge

People management skills

Work Relationship

Superiors: Ability to communicate upwards effectively with regards to ideas, issues, guidance, and direction. Ability to take initiatives and demonstrate independence.

Subordinates: Ability to coach, guide and motivate team members on BAU deal implementation activities including the resolution of issues encountered

Peers / External Parties: Ability to work in collaboration with all key stakeholders within GTS and across different functions in the bank, including the sharing of knowledge and going through the extra mile to help others. Ability to listen to others point of view with an open mind.
