The Instructional Design Senior

Lead helps build the conceptual design, guides the team to execute the design and is responsible for the overall design integrity of the learning asset.

Lead provides the day-to-day direction of multiple training development project – specifically course projects with medium to large scope (output hours average over 24) and significant budget (work effort over 250 hours).

Lead ensures that projects are executed according to CDC process, quality, budget, and milestone standards.

Lead tracks and reports progress to ensure completion according to agreed-upon schedule and within budget requirements for an average team of 5-7 Instructional Design Analysts and Senior Analysts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop instructional materials. • Design and implement instructional strategies, curricula, and learning materials that align to business needs. • Develop and maintain e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and other learning resources. • Demonstrated knowledge of creative learning tools and products, ensuring the use of the latest technologies to Deliver instructional information for an audience based on learning activities approaches to help an organization achieve their learning goals. Qualifications: Education
n
- BA/BS - degree in Instructional Design, Cognitive Psychology, English, Technical Writing, Communications, related field or equivalent experience.

Work Experience
n
- Academic or practical industry experience • Solid experience in developing performance solutions; • Solid experience leading teams • Prefer experience with developing training solutions for global audience; adjusting materials based on cultural needs, regional constraints and localization or translation considerations Knowledge/Skills Requirements: o Knowledge of advanced instructional design techniques and topics, adult learning theory,
and web-based development tools o Strong written communication skills - working knowledge of editorial requirements– grammar and instructional design of materials; attention to detail to ensure quality o Advanced oral communication skills - ability to facilitate client SMEs and sponsor discussions to set expectations and ensure appropriate involvement o Must be skilled in several instructional approaches (web-based, instructor-led, or virtual instructor-led training) o Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project) • Support training solutions development process o Coordinate project activities between all disciplines including media, technology, project management, client onsite or business interlock and delivery teams o Identify continuous improvement areas based on lessons learned; modify process steps as appropriate for client situation with direction from manager o Collaborate with team, peers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) via professional communication channels to maintain relationships o Monitor course assessment results against expected service level agreements • Lead project initiatives o Manage smaller learning asset development projects (those with less risk and/ or complexity as defined by the Project Manager) o Estimate effort (cost or output hours), create the approach and timeline, create the resource plan and schedule o Develop and execute project communication plan o Facilitate interactions between the development, technical and media teams to ensure clear communications between all groups • Complete project administration tasks o Provide coaching to team members regarding topics such as CDC process, quality metrics and professional behaviors. o Report status including estimates to complete work; identify potentialrisk Roles and Responsibilities: •Key Responsibilities:
