Job Summary

NIED is hiring a Food Processing Technician to support our edible products unit under a Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Project. The role includes working on a variety of products such as pickles (achar), sauces, chutneys, jams, spices, and other value-added food items, while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee production of various food products (achar, chutney, sauces, jams, मसाले, etc.)
- Ensure quality control, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Guide on preservatives, shelf-life improvement, and safe processing techniques
- Develop and standardize recipes and processes
- Assist in obtaining licenses such as FSSAI registration and approvals
- Maintain proper documentation, batch records, and compliance reports
- Train students/staff in food processing and hygiene practices
- Monitor packaging, labeling,



and storage as per guidelines

Requirements

- Knowledge of food processing, preservation, and quality testing
- Understanding of FSSAI norms, labeling, and licensing process
- Experience in small-scale food production or food unit setup
- Ability to handle multiple food product categories
- Good communication and training skills

Qualifications

- Diploma/Degree in Food Technology / Food Processing / Microbiology / Nutrition
- Experience in food industry or entrepreneurship projects preferred
