JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION Test Engineer ROLE Test Engineer REPORTING TO Test Lead POSITION STATEMENT: The incumbent is responsible for analysing the client requirements, conducting review meetings, defect tracking and communicating with the Sr. Tester. The incumbent defines the scope of testing within the context of each release /delivery. __________________________________________________________________________ REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: ? 6 months to 2 years of Testing Experience for the BFSI/Telecom domain or as per requirement ? Effective communication skills and ability to articulate properly ? Experience in web & mobile browser testing (preferred) ? Good knowledge in manual testing through test case estimation, test case preparation and test reporting.



? Valuable experience on Ad-Hoc testing, Functional testing, Regression testing, Re-testing, Smoke testing, running Selenium automated tests – 1+ year. ? Good exposure to Non-functional testing ? Knowledge of web & mobile browser testing, Defect Management tool & Test Management Tool ? Willingness to learn and perform automation in future ______________________________________________________________________ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES: 1. Creates test scenarios & test cases basis of BRD / FSD documentation and makes the necessary additions to the created test scenarios 2. Plans, verifies and adheres to the test plan designed by the Test Lead for the upcoming test items of the concerned project 3. Supports in creating test data for test cases and execute tests cases 4. Reports defects & follows up with Developers / BA IT for defect fixation with defect ageing tracking SLA 5. Provides test results walkthrough to stakeholders for Sign off 6. Documentation for project including test designing, execution and defect reporting 7. Creates and performs tests and adds information to the appropriate testing tool. 8. Ensures on-time testing of the deliverable products or applications. 9. Ensures regular review with the test lead
