Role: Software Engineer –Power Platform Engineer

Job Description:

As a Power Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications using Power Platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of front-end and back-end components, delivering exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software development, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for keeping up with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

Power Apps Development:

- Design, develop, and maintain custom Power Apps tailored to specific business needs.
- Integrate Power Apps with various data sources and systems.
- Ensure the usability, performance, and scalability of Power Apps solutions.
- Configure forms, views, business rules, and command bars.
- Implement role-based access control and app-specific security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power Apps applications.

Power Pages Development

- Design, configure, and customize Power Pages sites for external and internal users.
- Implement authentication and security integration (Entra ID/Azure AD B2C).
- Manage web roles, table permissions, and custom styling with HTML/CSS/JS.

Dataverse Data Modelling

- Design and manage Dataverse schema including tables, relationships, lookup fields, and business logic.
- Implement auditing, versioning, and change tracking.
- Implement synchronous/asynchronous operations for validations, calculations, and integrations.
- Leverage plugin steps,



execution pipelines, and secure configurations to meet business requirements.
- Ensure relational integrity across environments.

Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

- Manage solution lifecycle using managed/unmanaged solutions.
- Implement deployment pipelines (Power Platform Pipelines / Azure DevOps).
- Work with Git-based source control (solution unpack/pack).
- Support parallel development tracks (features vs hotfixes).

Power Automate Workflow Automation:

- Create and optimize workflows using Power Automate to automate business processes.
- Integrate Power Automate with external applications and data sources.(e.g. Azure Ai Documentation intelligence via http request connector, Microsoft foundry – GPT model via http request connector, SAP API, custom connector).
- Monitor and manage flow execution, troubleshoot errors, and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.

Power BI Data Visualization:

- Develop interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI to provide insights into organizational data.
- Connect Power BI to various data sources, perform data transformations,



and build data models.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver data visualizations that meet their needs.
- Maintain and optimize Power BI reports for performance and accuracy.

Platform Governance and Administration:

- Implement security and access controls within the Power Platform to safeguard data.
- Define and enforce governance policies and best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Perform regular platform maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Monitor usage and performance of Power Platform applications and take proactive measures.

Documentation and Training:

- Provide training and support to end-users on Power Platform tools and solutions.
- Create documentation, guides, and best practices for Power Platform development and administration.

Skills

- Proven experience (min 3+ years) as a Power Platform Engineer with hands-on expertise in Power App, Power Automate and Power BI.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with data modeling and database concepts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education and Certification

- Bachelors or associate degree in IT discipline
- Certification in Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals is a must.
- Certification in Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate is a plus.
