Assistant Manager – Indirect Tax -GST Compliance & Litigation - 3+ years - Mumbai

A leading, fast‑growing Indian FMCG organization with a strong domestic and international presence is hiring an Assistant Manager / Manager – Indirect Tax to strengthen its head‑office tax function. The role offers hands‑on exposure to GST compliance, audits, assessments, and litigation, working closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities.

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities:
Ensure end‑to‑end GST compliance including review and filing of returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9, 9C, ITC‑04, etc.)
Review GST liability computation, tax payments, interest, and reconciliations
Perform GSTR‑2B vs ITC reconciliation and follow up with vendors as required
Monitor e‑invoicing and e‑way bill compliance across multiple states
Manage GST audits, assessments, departmental scrutiny, appeals, and litigation, coordinating with consultants, legal counsel, and auditors

Requirements:
CA qualified with 3+ years’ experience in Indirect Tax / GST
Strong knowledge of GST laws, compliance, and litigation
Experience handling multi‑state GST matters
Working knowledge of SAP (GST module) preferred
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
