Role Overview
As a Director – Carbon Markets & Offtaker Relations focused on Voluntary Carbon Markets and Article 6 mechanisms, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with mid- and senior-level stakeholders across leading organizations. The role’s primary objective is to drive and close transactions aligned with client requirements and overall business strategy.
This position offers an opportunity to operate in a fast-evolving global market, trading environmental commodities such as carbon offsets, renewable energy credits, and sustainability-linked instruments across sectors including energy, agriculture, and nature.

Key Responsibilities
Drive carbon credit sales strategy across voluntary and compliance markets
Identify new market opportunities, pricing mechanisms, and emerging trends in carbon markets
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of offtakers and buyers
Conduct market research on environmental commodities and contribute to growth initiatives
Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and client engagements
Provide strategic insights on carbon pricing, buyer demand, and policy developments
Track regulatory, compliance, and voluntary market changes




Collaborate with internal teams to align project pipeline with market demand
Work closely with growth, finance, and legal teams to structure commercial deals
Support marketing and positioning efforts within global carbon markets

Key Requirements (Must Have)
Native or bilingual proficiency in English
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
8–12 years of experience in carbon trading, brokering, or business development
Strong business development skills including networking, client acquisition, and deal closure
Proficiency in data handling and relevant IT tools
Advanced Excel skills are a plus

Preferred Profile (Good to Have)
Understanding of carbon markets and the global climate ecosystem
Familiarity with Article 6 mechanisms under international climate frameworks
Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach
