Position Summary:

GITAM University, Bengaluru Campus, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. We are looking for a energetic and dedicated academician with expertise in Robotics & AI, Automotive Engineering, or Digital Manufacturing. The candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and academic service.

Specializations Required:
Robotics & Artificial Intelligence
Automotive Engineering
Digital Manufacturing
(Candidates with strong domain knowledge in the above areas will also be considered.)

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering.




Develop and sustain a robust research program in the relevant specialization.
Mentor and guide students in academic and research activities.
Participate in departmental, university, and professional service activities.
Contribute to curriculum development and academic assessments.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)

Desired Skill Set:
Prior teaching experience at the university level
Proven research record with publications in peer-reviewed journals
Experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration
Qualified engineering licensure (preferred)
