Position Title: Project Manager

Project: Cluster Based Textile Circularity

Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Engagement Type: Full-time, project-based engagement

Reporting To: Conserve India senior leadership / Project Director / designated project focal point.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day implementation of Phase 1 of the IDH Re-Start CCP Indore project on the ground.

The role is central to ensuring that all project objectives are delivered in a timely, structured, and high-quality manner. The Project Manager will act as the primary operational anchor in Indore, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, field coordination, documentation, consultant support, meeting management, reporting, risk tracking, and follow-up action across all workstreams.

The person will be expected to translate the larger project vision into practical on-ground action by coordinating with MSMEs, textile waste traders, informal aggregators, recyclers, Indore Municipal Corporation, SHGs, women-led units, dry waste actors, RRR centres, community organisations, and other ecosystem stakeholders. The role requires robust ownership, problem-solving ability, stakeholder confidence, documentation discipline, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a complex cluster-based project.

Overall Responsibility The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all four core objectives of Phase 1 are implemented effectively:

- Cluster Convening and Stakeholder Alignment → Leading on-ground mobilisation and stakeholder coordination for the Indore cluster.
- Validation of Diagnostics and System Mapping → Support validation of diagnostics and system mapping by ensuring that technical inputs are grounded in field realities.




- Co-Creation of Cluster Governance and Implementation Roadmap → Support the co-creation of a practical governance structure and implementation roadmap for the Indore cluster.
- Learning, MEL, and MRV Inputs → Ensure that project learning, monitoring, reporting, and documentation systems are maintained throughout Phase 1.

The Project Manager will not only coordinate activities but also ensure that outputs are produced, meetings are followed through, field information is captured, risks are flagged early, and all teams remain aligned. Key Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth planning, execution, coordination, and delivery of the project in Indore. Key responsibilities will include:

- Lead day-to-day project execution and coordination in Indore.
- Translate the approved workplan and Gantt chart into monthly and weekly action plans.
- Allocate tasks between the Deputy Project Manager, Associate Project Manager, experts, and field support team.
- Ensure that all activities remain aligned with the approved Phase 1 scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with experts, project partners, governmental bodies, and Conserve India leadership.
- Lead stakeholder engagement for Indore for textile value chain and textile waste supply chain.
- Plan and manage meetings, consultations, workshops, field visits, and follow-up actions.
- Support consultants and experts with field access, contextual inputs, stakeholder connections, and validation of ground realities.
- Oversee documentation, meeting minutes, consultation notes, field records, monthly reports, dashboards,



and donor-facing updates.
- Track progress, risks, issues, decisions, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement status.
- Ensure timely internal updates and escalation of delays, risks, or sensitive stakeholder issues.
- Maintain project discipline, documentation quality, stakeholder trust, and field momentum throughout Phase 1.

Skills and Competencies Required

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management, field implementation, stakeholder engagement, waste management, circular economy, MSME development, livelihoods, or development sector projects.
- Minimum 3 years of field-based project coordination or stakeholder management experience.
- Prior experience in Indore / Madhya Pradesh preferred.
- Experience in donor-funded, government-facing, or multi-stakeholder projects will be an advantage.
- Strong project planning, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage teams, timelines, stakeholders, and documentation simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Ability to engage confidently with government bodies, municipal institutions, MSMEs, informal actors, community organisations, and industry associations.
- Good documentation and reporting skills, including meeting notes, trackers, briefs, and progress updates.
- Working knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Strong problem-solving ability, ownership, and comfort with field-based ambiguity.
- Sensitivity toward informal workers, women workers, and community stakeholders.
- Professional conduct in donor, government, and external stakeholder meetings.

Pay: ₹720,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
