Position : Injection mpoulding Supervisor

Location : Chakan, Pune

Interview Mode : Face to Face at Chakan

Experience : mini 3 yr

Qualification : Diploma , Btech

(Automotive Plastic Components Industry)

1. Production Planning & Control

Plan daily/shift-wise production as per customer schedules (OEM / Tier-1).

Achieve production targets with optimum cycle time and minimum rejection.

Monitor OEE, machine utilization, downtime, and productivity.

Coordinate with PPC, stores, and logistics for material availability.

2. Injection Molding Process Control

Set and optimize process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cooling).

Ensure consistent part quality as per control plan and SOP.

Troubleshoot molding defects like:

Short shot, flash, sink marks

Warpage, burn marks, silver streaks

Conduct mold trials, first-off approvals, and process validation.

3. Quality Assurance & Customer Requirements

Ensure products meet automotive standards and customer drawings.

Follow IATF 16949, 5S, Poka-Yoke, SPC, MSA, and control plans.

Handle internal quality issues and support customer complaints.

Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

4. Mold & Machine Coordination

Coordinate with maintenance for:

Mold preventive maintenance





Machine breakdowns and PM schedules

Monitor mold life, spare usage, and tool performance.

Support mold changeovers and setup reduction (SMED).

5. Manpower & Shift Management

Allocate manpower efficiently per shift.

Train operators and setters on:

Machine operation

Quality awareness

Safety practices

Ensure discipline, safety compliance, and PPE usage.

6. Cost & Waste Reduction

Control raw material consumption and reduce scrap.

Implement kaizen, lean manufacturing, and cost-saving initiatives.

Improve cycle time and reduce energy consumption.

7. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain production reports, rejection data, and downtime logs.

Prepare MIS, daily production dashboards, and review reports.

Update SOPs, work instructions, and process sheets.

8. Safety & Compliance

Ensure machine safety, interlocks, and guarding.

Follow EHS norms and conduct safety audits.

Support fire, emergency, and safety drills.

Key Skills Required

Injection molding machines (Toshiba, JSW, Engel, Haitian, etc.)

Engineering plastics (PP, ABS, PC, PA, PBT, filled materials)

Automotive quality systems (IATF 16949)

Solid troubleshooting & leadership skills
