ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Growth Associate to build and run the Student Tribe campus presence in Bengaluru from the ground up. This is not just an outreach role — you are responsible for forming the campus team in Bengaluru, leading them, planning and executing campus events, and ensuring the territory runs independently. Alongside campus work, you will be a direct support arm for the central client team — helping deliver client projects and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Bengaluru is a new territory. You are the first person in. If you are someone who can build structure where none exists, lead a small team, and own outcomes end to end — this role is for you.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Campus Team — Formation & Leadership
- You are responsible for forming the Bengaluru campus team — identifying, onboarding, and guiding campus interns and volunteers on the ground
- Assign tasks to your campus team members, track their progress, and ensure weekly targets are being met
- Maintain consistent communication between your campus team and the central Growth Team
- Identify and onboard campus POCs (Points of Contact) inside colleges to sustain activity between visits
- Work toward MOU targets with colleges to formalize Student Tribe's presence in Bengaluru campuses
Campus Activation & Community Building
- Conduct physical campus meetups and workshops every Saturday or Sunday across assigned Bengaluru colleges
- Announce all upcoming events on the main wall and community groups every Monday or Tuesday - no exceptions
- Build and manage WhatsApp and Instagram communities for activated colleges — real engagement, not just member counts
- Drive community member registrations across WA and Instagram for the Bengaluru territory
Campus Event Planning & Execution
- Plan the monthly campus event calendar for Bengaluru — workshops, meetups, activations, and community sessions
- Own event logistics end to end — venue, attendance, run-of-show, on-ground execution, and post-event follow
- Coordinate with the central team for any city-level or cross-city events involving the Bengaluru campus community
- Ensure every campus event is announced on time, executed on the planned date, and reported post-completion
- Gather post-event feedback from attendees and share insights with the central team for continuous improvement
Client Work Support — Central Team
- Actively support the central client team on assigned deliverables — this runs in parallel with campus work and is non-negotiable
- Deliver client tasks on time with the accuracy and quality expected — no delays, no half-done work
- Flag any capacity issues to your reporting manager in advance rather than missing deadlines
Reporting & Accountability
- Submit a weekly KPI update to your Reporting Manager — campus visits done, members added, POCs onboarded,
events planned and executed, client tasks completed
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who has the maturity to lead a small team — assign work, follow up, and hold people accountable without being told to
- Knows the Bengaluru college ecosystem well — ideally studied or worked here, with existing awareness of the campus landscape
- Comfortable building from scratch — no existing team, no established network, no playbook handed to you
- Can plan and execute events independently — venue, logistics, crowd, and post-event reporting all owned by you
- Self-starter who manages their own week, their team's week, and still delivers on client work without dropping anything
- Obsessed with follow-through — things will go wrong, people will be slow, clients will push. You handle it and move forward.
- Strong communicator in Kannada and English — comfortable in both Bengaluru college settings and professional client contexts
- Has a genuine interest in the student community space — not just looking for any job
VALUABLE TO HAVE
- Prior experience leading a small team, coordinating volunteers, or managing a campus club or community
- Experience planning and executing events — college fests, workshops, meetups, or brand activations
- Existing relationships with college student bodies, cultural committees, or student leaders in Bengaluru
- Exposure to client work, brand campaigns, or project delivery in any capacity
Familiarity with Instagram analytics and WhatsApp community management
