REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Nephrology Specialty | Pan Gujarat

Territory: Pan Gujarat (All Districts)

Reporting To: National Sales Manager / VP Sales

Direct Reportees: Medical Representatives & Area Sales Managers

Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Roll

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (with field travel)

Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Nephrology will spearhead Trionix Lifesciences' commercial operations across Pan Gujarat, driving prescription generation and revenue growth within the Nephrologist and allied specialist community. The RSM will lead a field sales team, build strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), and execute brand strategies in alignment with national objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Management

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the Nephrology portfolio across Gujarat.
- Drive prescription generation from Nephrologists, Transplant Surgeons, Diabetologists, and General Physicians managing CKD patients.
- Monitor secondary sales data, stockist performance, and market share trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Plan and execute territory-level sales strategies for all 33 districts of Gujarat.

2. Team Leadership & Development

- Recruit, train, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Medical Representatives (MRs) and Area Sales Managers (ASMs).




- Conduct regular field work with team members (minimum 1215 days per month).
- Set performance benchmarks, conduct monthly reviews, and manage PIP/appraisal processes.
- Foster a culture of scientific selling, accountability, and continuous learning.

3. KOL & Stakeholder Engagement

- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with top Nephrologists and KOLs across Gujarat.
- Organise Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, Round Table Meetings, and hospital symposia.
- Represent Trionix at major nephrology conferences and scientific forums (e.g., NRSI, ISNO, state nephrology meets).
- Coordinate with medical affairs for scientific inputs and product presentations.

4. Market Intelligence & Planning

- Analyse competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market dynamics to adapt tactics in real time.
- Prepare and present accurate forecasts, business plans, and MIS reports to senior management.
- Map potential accounts including nephrology OPDs, dialysis centres, renal transplant units, and super-specialty hospitals.

5. Brand & Portfolio Execution

- Drive adoption of key brands in areas such as:

Phosphate binders & CKD-mineral bone disorder (CKD-MBD) management

ESA therapy and anemia of CKD

Immunosuppressants for renal transplant

Antihypertensives and diuretics in CKD

- Ensure compliant and ethical execution of all promotional activities in accordance with UCPMP guidelines.

6. Distribution & Trade Management





- Ensure 100% product availability across CFA Stockist Retailer/Hospital supply chain in Gujarat.
- Manage relationships with C&F; agents and distributors to resolve supply issues proactively.
- Monitor and control outstanding/credit within company norms.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: B.Sc. (Life Sciences / Pharmacy) mandatory; MBA in Marketing preferred.
- Experience: 7–12 years in pharmaceutical sales; minimum 2 years in a front-line managerial role (RSM/ZSM/ASM level).
- Specialty: Prior experience in Nephrology, Critical Care, or Chronic Disease Management strongly preferred.
- Geography: Should have worked in Gujarat for at least 3–4 years with established KOL contacts.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales analytics platforms.
