About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project System (PS) / Investment Management (IM) Consultant who can lead design and delivery, manage stakeholders, guide a functional team, and collaborate with crossfunctional streams. The ideal candidate combines strong functional expertise with handson configuration, debugging capability in SAP to isolate issues, and the ability to author clear, logical Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).

Key Responsibilities

- Solution Design & Delivery
Lead endtoend solutioning across SAP PS (WBS/Networks/Activities/Settlements/Results Analysis/RA keys/Costing/Progress & Milestones) and SAP IM (Appropriation Requests/Investment Programs/Budgeting/Funds Management integration).
Own fitgap, blueprinting, and design workshops; align scope with business goals and deployment roadmap.
Configure PS/IM objects, master root, and integration touchpoints; drive unit/SIT/UAT cycles and production cutover.
- Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary functional counterpart for business, project sponsors, and IT.
Translate requirements into explicit user stories and FSDs with calculation logic (e.g., RA, settlements, budget control, allocations).

- Team Leadership

Lead and mentor a small functional team; plan sprint scope, review deliverables, and ensure quality standards.
Coordinate with FI/CO, MM, PM, SD, PP, CPM/PPM, FM/BCS, and Integration teams for E2E scenarios.

- Quality & Compliance

Prepare process documents, configuration rationales, test scripts, and cutover plans.




Ensure adherence to design governance, change management (CRs), and documentation in tools (e.g., SolMan/ChaRM/Jira/ALM).

- Troubleshooting & Debugging

Perform issue triage and debugging (ABAP trace/SE38/SE37/ST05/SQL trace where appropriate) to identify root causes.
Work with technical teams on WRICEF objects (Reports/Interfaces/Forms/Enhancements/Conversions).

- Reporting & Analytics

Design KPIs and reporting structures for project budgeting, capitalization, cost tracking, and progress (e.g., Fiori apps, CDS views, embedded analytics).

MustHave Qualifications

- 9 to 16 years of SAP experience with 10+ years in S/4HANA PS/IM.
- At least 2 full E2E implementations (ExploretoRun) in S/4HANA, including workshops, design, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
SAP S4 HANA certification in PS is added advantage.
- Proven team leadership experience and clientfacing delivery. Strong configuration skills in PS (WBS/Network/Activity planning, Costing, RA, Settlement, Budget/Availability Control) and IM (Investment Programs, Budgeting, Appropriation Requests).
- Integration expertise with FI/CO (AA, COPA, PCA), MM (procurement to project), PM (maintenance projects), SD (billing), PP (production projects).
- Ability to debug to support issue isolation and guide ABAP developers (traces, logs, BAdIs, user exits, enhancements).
- Strong FSD writing skills with clear business logic, field mappings, and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
