Role & responsibilities

Facility Electrical Infrastructure

- Oversee and maintain all plant electrical systems HT/LT panels, MCC, PCC, distribution boards,

feeder pillars, and cable trays.
- Manage the complete lighting installation across production floors, warehouses, offices, and

external areas; plan and execute LED retrofit or upgrade projects as required.
- Monitor and maintain UPS, DG sets, power factor correction capacitors, and voltage stabilisers to

ensure uninterrupted plant power.
- Conduct scheduled earth-resistance testing, insulation-resistance checks, and thermographic

surveys of switchgear and connections.
- Liaise with TSSPDCL / electricity board for demand management, meter calibration, tariff

compliance, and any HT consumer obligations.
- Coordinate civil/electrical contractors for any current facility works layout changes, additional power

sockets, lighting extensions.
- Maintain an up-to-date single-line diagram (SLD) and as-built drawings for the facility.

1. Production Machinery & Equipment

- Serve as the resident electrical custodian for all wire-processing and harnessing machinery,

including Komax Alpha/Zeta crimping and cutting machines, applicator presses, and associated test stations.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic sub-systems of wire-harnessing auxiliary

machines: rotary indexing tables, laser marking units, continuity testers, and label applicators.
- Oversee transformer maintenance dry-type and oil-immersed auxiliary transformers used for

machine power conditioning — including oil sampling, BDV testing, winding resistance, and tapchanger servicing.



LUMINKRAFT | Bollaram Manufacturing Plant, Hyderabad

Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules for all CNC/PLC-driven production equipment; update CMMS records accordingly.

- Diagnose and resolve PLC faults (Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi preferred), servo drive

alarms, and HMI communication errors with minimal production disruption.
- Support toolroom and production engineers with machine power-quality issues, grounding

problems, and EMI/EMC concerns on sensitive harnessing equipment.
1. Safety, Compliance & Documentation

- Champion electrical safety across the plant — implement and audit Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)

procedures for all machine maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, and factory statutory regulations; assist in obtaining and renewing

electrical license renewals with the Factory Inspector's office.
- Maintain logbooks, maintenance registers, breakdown reports, and spare-parts consumption

records.
- Conduct electrical safety induction for new joiners and periodic refresher training for maintenance

staff.
- Investigate electrical incidents and near-misses; prepare root-cause analysis (RCA) and correctiveaction reports.

1. Energy Management

- Monitor unit consumption via sub-meters and energy meters; prepare daily/weekly energy

dashboards for plant leadership.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives — power-factor improvement, variable-frequency

drive (VFD) tuning, load scheduling, and lighting control automation.
- Track and report on energy KPIs against plant sustainability targets
