The Bodyshop Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the automobile bodyshop service department. The role involves inspecting accident or damage vehicles, preparing repair estimates, coordinating with insurance companies, updating customers on repair progress, and ensuring timely delivery of vehicles with high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and attend customers for accident repair and bodyshop-related services.
- Inspect vehicles and identify body damages, accident impact, and repair requirements.
- Prepare repair estimates, job cards, and cost quotations.
- Coordinate with insurance surveyors for claim processing and approvals.
- Explain repair process, timelines, and estimated costs to customers.
- Follow up for insurance approvals, spare parts availability, and repair progress.
- Coordinate with technicians, painters, denters, and spare parts team for smooth workflow.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair status and delivery schedule.
- Ensure quality inspection before vehicle delivery.
- Deliver vehicles to customers after explaining repairs carried out and billing details.
- Maintain customer records, job documentation, and insurance files.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of automobile body repairs and insurance claim procedures.
- Robust customer handling and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare estimates and explain technical details clearly.
- Coordination and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with DMS/software systems.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Automobile Engineering or related field preferred.
- Any graduate with relevant automobile service experience may also apply.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in automobile bodyshop/service advisory role preferred
Pay: ₹21,100.00 - ₹29,000.00 per month
