Associate Systems Engineer

Navalur, Chennai | Full-Time | On-site

Company Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. This role will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our server, workstation, and cloud environments while ensuring reliability, security, and compliance across our systems.

Roles & Responsibilities for System Engineer:

· Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux server operating systems

· Support Active Directory management including accounts, permissions, and policies

· Help in setting up and maintaining DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing services

· Learn and assist in workstation/laptop deployment, patching, and updates

· Participate in monitoring system health and performance, and provide first-level IT help desk support to end users resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly

· Work with the team to troubleshoot issues related to hardware, drivers, or operating systems and escalate complex cases with proper documentation

· Manage and track user requests and incidents through the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and a smooth end-user experience

· Support the scheduling and application of security patches, backups, and updates

· Manage Microsoft 365 services including user accounts, email configurations, license assignments, and security policies to ensure secure and uninterrupted business operations

· Troubleshoot M365-related issues across Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive





· Learn about virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V and assist in managing virtual machines

· Contribute to system hardening and security monitoring with guidance

· Assist in writing and maintaining simple automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for routine tasks

· Help document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps

· Collaborate with teams across networking, storage, and security for daily operations

Requirements:

· B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

· 0–2 years of experience or internship in system administration, IT helpdesk, or IT infrastructure is preferable

· Basic understanding or exposure to Windows/Linux server operating systems

· Hands-on or working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and email security is preferred

· Eagerness to learn about Active Directory, networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, IP), and system security

· Interest in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) or cloud integration is a plus

· Familiarity with scripting tools such as PowerShell or Bash is an added advantage

· ITIL Foundation certification is a valuable to have

· Good communication skills for working in a team environment

· Ability to follow workflows and take guidance from senior engineers

· Strong curiosity and willingness to build a career in systems and infrastructure engineering

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹300,000.00 per year
