Manager – Consumer Research & Insights, SET
Location: Mumbai | Function: Programming Strategy and Insights | Reports to: Head - Programming Strategy & Insights, SET
Purpose
We are seeking a research professional with strong quantitative skills and experience operating media analytics software, specifically YUMI (BARC). The ideal candidate will also possess exposure to qualitative research methodologies. In this role, you will plan and execute consumer research projects, transforming data into actionable insights that inform business decisions, optimize strategy, and drive channel viewership and reach.
Education: Master’s in Business Administration or Postgraduate in Management
Experience: 8+ years of experience in consumer insights in a consumer centric industry/ agency.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Quantitative Analysis and reporting
Track channel performance on a continuous basis to provide inputs for business decisions
Monitor all competitive activity and report the Market Intelligence for internal decision making, on a weekly/monthly basis
Track viewership fluctuations to pre-empt gain or loss in channel GRPs
Track market landscape to be updated on consumer viewing patterns and make recommendations on scheduling new launches & Events.
Present findings in concise and easy to understand formats to different stakeholders
2.Distribution
Prioritize markets for channel Distribution
Ensure channel availability across core markets through regular tracking
Track channel and competition pack availability
Scouting for good opportunities to increase channel presence
3.Content Strategy
Provide inputs for the Prime time FPC based on consumer research,
break structure and BARC ratings
FPC Strategy - Share inputs with the Scheduling team to create the Fixed-Point Chart (FPC) plan for the channel
