Role & responsibilities

- Plant Connectivity: Manage and optimize robust network connectivity (wired and wireless) across the shop floor to support IoT devices, scanners, and HMIs.
- OT & IT Integration: Collaborate with the Engineering/Automation teams to support server and network requirements for MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), PLC systems, and SCADA.
- Critical Setting Support: Oversee the setup and maintenance of Data Centers and Server Rooms in industrial environments, ensuring proper cooling, power backup (UPS/DG), and dust control.
- Surveillance & Access Control: Manage plant-wide IP-CCTV systems and biometric access control to ensure physical security in sensitive areas.
- Incident Management: Lead the response for any IT failures that impact the production.
- Asset Lifecycle: Track the lifecycle of ruggedized hardware, tablets, and specialized industrial computing equipment.
- Install, configure, deploy, administrator, and support necessary hardware and software for LAN and WAN infrastructures, including switches, routers.
- Knowledge of working on firewalls, and load balancers will be an added advantage.
- Monitor network/Server performance and capacity and report on daily basis
- Perform analysis of LAN/WAN requirements and contribute to design of LAN and WAN architecture, integration, and installation.
- Support in preparing and maintain documentation of all LAN, WAN, Load Balancing, DNS and Internet connections and configurations.




- Should have good working knowledge on installation and maintenance of ILL, MPLS, PRI link lines
- Should be adept in installation of CCTV both analogue and digital and should have worked on managing NVRs and DVRs
- Should have working experience of handling and managing End points, peripherals, accessories and consumables.
- Monitor and administer servers, hardware and software systems
- Assist in maintaining and testing business continuity/disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures necessary to recover services in the event of a declared disaster.
- Ensure system documentation and inventories are maintained.
- Ensure all assigned incidents are properly addressed in accordance with predetermined Service Levels and Incident Management processes
- Actively participate in the Problem Management process through the identification and correction of recurring issues
- Become intimate with the corporate application, server, network and other IT Auxiliaries.
- Communicate changes, fixes and processes to the end-user community
- Ensure management is updated on issues in a timely manner
- Should be adept in vendor management, negotiations
- Should have hands on experience in Linus/Unix/Android / Windows and other operating systems
- Having Sound knowledge of Wireless technology
