Job Title: Accountant

Location: Kannur Kerala, India
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Accounts Manager

Position Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The role requires adherence to established accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately record all financial transactions in a timely manner.
- Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, payments, and receipts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and information.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal control policies.





Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Competencies:

- Knowledge of VAT/GST regulations and filing processes (as per applicable local laws).
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding skilled ethics.
- Adaptability to new systems, tools, and evolving accounting standards.
