Position Project Coordinator Project Gender Nutrition: Equal access to sufficient and healthy food strengthens the food security of women and young children. Location Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh

About the project The project entitled Gender Nutrition: Equal access to sufficient and healthy food strengthens the food security of women and young children is being implemented in Ambikapur district of Chhattisgarh.

The project will contribute to minimizing hunger, acute malnutrition and increased self-reliance in food and nutrition among marginalized communities, especially women and children in the north Chhattisgarh.

To increase gender equality and decision making in fair food distribution by women and girls in the 100 villages.

To ensure food and nutritional security and dietary diversity for children, adolescent girls and women.

To improve quality and access to public services on general women and child health and nutrition.

Promote model of nutrition and health care in community setting for addressing malnutrition and gender rights.

- Technical assistance to the project teams towards implementation of the creche and nutrition programme

- Point person for facilitating training and handholding support to cr che workers, project facilitators and block coordinators and cr che committee as and when required
- Coordinate with project implementation team to update cr che implementation,



progress and challenges; facilitate weekly coordination meetings and monthly review meetings with the
- Make sure for following protocol and guideline for cr che functioning and ensure quality
- Support and facilitation to the rollout process of ECCD activities and PLA at community level
- Attend block, district level review meetings for providing
- Documentation of success stories, case studies, reports etc.
- Liaison with line departments at the block, district and state level and build solid network with other stakeholders
- Any other task assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications, desired skills and requirements
- Master s degree in social work/social science/management/any relevant field from a recognized institution
- Minimum 5 years experience in project management in the field of health and/or nutrition or relevant field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and
- Ability to travel regularly to project area

Remuneration The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history. Report to Senior Programme Coordinator
