While our core infrastructure heavily relies on Microsoft SQL Server, you will also be the dedicated expert supporting Couchbase.

Responsibilities
- Database Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases for general company operations, while ensuring high performance and availability of the Couchbase .
- Performance Tuning: Optimize complex T-SQL queries and indexes in SQL Server, and tune N1QL queries, indexing (GSI), and bucket configurations in Couchbase.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Manage backups, restores, replication, and failover strategies (including SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups ).
- Collaboration & Consulting: Work closely with software engineers and product owners from to assist with schema design, data modeling, and best practices.
- Security & Compliance: Maintain strict data security, access controls, and compliance standards across all supported database platforms.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator supporting production environments.
- SQL Server Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server management, T-SQL development, performance tuning, and high-availability configurations.
- Couchbase Knowledge: Practical experience managing Couchbase clusters, monitoring bucket health, and writing/optimizing N1QL queries.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to context-shift and support different tech stacks and stakeholder.
- Infrastructure: Experience working with Windows and Linux servers,
as well as cloud-based database deployments.
- Automation: Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell) to automate routine maintenance tasks across environments.
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to translate technical database concepts to different development teams.
