Role Description This is a full-time hybrid position for an Information Technology Sales Manager - Govt Sales, based in Pune City, with some flexibility for work from home. The role involves driving IT sales through government channels, generating and managing sales leads, developing and maintaining client accounts within the government sector, and ensuring targets are met. The successful candidate will be expected to engage with government stakeholders, create tailored proposals, and provide excellent customer service.
Candidate will help in the initial stages in Business development and Account relationship management Role will involve active engagements with clients and prospects among defence and intelligence agencies (Govt. entities), while working on the following: Serve as SPOC for client/ prospects (from first connect, through life cycle.
Manage communications including Mail introduction of product offerings to secure engagement. Participate in meetings and act as anchor to sustain agenda through subsequent engagements.
Help with RFP response, proposals etc. as and when the needs arise With adequate exposure on the solution offerings, the candidate should develop the capability to make solution presentations and demos to the clients on his own. KRAs will include new account/ business acquisition and growth. Profile 10+ year's experience covering: IT product/ services delivery management with at least 5+ years in account management and Sales to Government Agencies.
Should have exposure to working with Defence/Police/ Intelligence sectors. Startup experience and mindset preferred.
Smart
Communication skills - written and verbal. In English/ Hindi Familiarity and experience in delivering / selling products and solutions involving AI/ML. Familiarity with process of RFP seeding / Pre bids / responding Presales capabilities: Should have confidence and experience in making Product presentations, demos, proposals etc.
Education Qualifications
- Engg grad / MCA & MBA (not below a Tier 2 institution) will be welcome .
