Position: Dean – Career Development Cell (CDC)

Reporting To: Director / Management

Job Summary The Dean – Career Development Cell (CDC) will lead and manage all placement, internship, industry collaboration, corporate relations, and student employability initiatives of the institution. The role requires building strong corporate partnerships, ensuring quality placement opportunities for students, and enhancing the overall career readiness of students across departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Placement & Internship Management

- Develop and execute annual placement strategies to achieve placement targets.
- Build internship opportunities for students with reputed organizations.
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, placement processes, and offer management.
- Monitor placement records, salary packages, and recruiter engagement.

1. Corporate Relations

- Establish and maintain relationships with corporate partners, HR leaders, and industry professionals.
- Bring new recruiters to campus for placement and internship opportunities.
- Develop MoUs and strategic partnerships with companies and industries.

1. Student Career Development

- Design and implement training programs on aptitude, soft skills, communication, and interview preparation.
- Guide students on career planning,



resume building, and professional development.
- Ensure students are industry-ready before placement drives.

1. Industry-Academia Collaboration

- Organize guest lectures, industrial visits, seminars, and workshops.
- Facilitate collaboration between academic departments and industry experts.
- Gather industry feedback to align curriculum with market needs.

1. Team Leadership & Administration

- Lead and manage the CDC team effectively.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and placement MIS for management review.
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments, students, and recruiters.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree / MBA (PhD preferred).
- 10–15+ years of experience in placement, training, corporate relations, or academic administration.
- Solid corporate network and industry connections preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
