Job Title: Metallurgist / Metallurgical Engineer (NABL Testing Laboratory)

Job Description:

Metalab Analytical Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Metallurgical Engineer to join our NABL-accredited testing facility in Ahmedabad.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We are strictly a Third-Party Service Laboratory (TIC Industry). This role is purely for Laboratory Operations, Material Testing, and Quality Compliance. There is NO Manufacturing and NO Production involved.

- Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
- Industry: Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) - Strictly Service Industry
- Role: Laboratory Testing & Operations (NOT Production / NOT Manufacturing)
- Salary Range: INR 1,50,000 to INR 5,40,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform Microstructure Analysis, Grain Size estimation, Inclusion Rating, and Macro-etching on various metal samples.
- Conduct Mechanical Testing including Tensile testing (UTM), Hardness testing (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers), and Impact testing (Charpy/Izod).
- Carry out Grade Identification for Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, and various Alloys according to international standards (ASTM, IS, ISO, DIN).
- Operate and maintain metallurgical laboratory equipment, including optical microscopes, sample polishing machines, and hardness testers.
- Maintain strict laboratory documentation, logbooks, and quality control charts as per ISO/IEC 17025 (NABL) guidelines.




- Prepare accurate and high-precision Test Certificates (TC) for clients.
- Assist during internal audits and NABL assessments.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering / Material Science.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in a 3rd Party NABL Testing Laboratory. (Candidates with only manufacturing/production line experience will not be considered).
- Core Skills: Deep understanding of metal properties, sample preparation (cutting, mounting, polishing, etching), and root cause analysis.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards and calibration procedures.
