The Medical Officer is responsible for providing primary patient care, assisting consultants in patient management, monitoring admitted patients, handling emergencies within the scope of practice, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies and clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess and examine patients and record medical history.
- Monitor and manage patients in OPD, IPD, and Emergency departments under the guidance of consultants.




- Conduct routine rounds and follow up on patient progress.
- Assist consultants in patient treatment and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure quality patient care.
- Handle patient admissions, transfers, and discharge documentation.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide initial care as per hospital protocols.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS).
- Valid registration with the respective State Medical Council.
