Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Setter cum Operator to set up, operate, and monitor CNC/VMC machines for precision machining operations. The candidate should be capable of machine setting, tool offset adjustments, basic programming support, and ensuring production quality as per drawing specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate VMC machines for production jobs.
- Load and unload workpieces and fixtures.
- Perform tool setting, tool offset correction, and job changeovers.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection instruments.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements are met.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Report machine issues, tool breakage, or production deviations to supervisors.




- Follow safety procedures and company quality standards.
- Maintain production records and job reports.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with VMC/CNC machining centers.
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and machining practices.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand GD&T; basics.
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls.
- Experience in tool offset setting and troubleshooting machining issues.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
- Good problem-solving and attention to detail.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, Production Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant experience in VMC machine setting and operation.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
