Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Clinical Cardiologist role based in Arunachal Pradesh, India. The Clinical Cardiologist will evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions through outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and emergency assessments. Responsibilities include performing and interpreting cardiac investigations (such as ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, and other diagnostic procedures), developing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring clinical progress. The role involves collaborating with internal medicine, critical care, nursing, and allied health professionals, as well as participating in multidisciplinary case discussions. The Clinical Cardiologist will also contribute to patient and family education, clinical documentation, adherence to cardiology guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives in the department.
Qualifications
Relevant medical degree (MBBS) and completed specialization in Cardiology (MD/DNB in Internal Medicine with DM/DNB in Cardiology or equivalent), with valid medical registration in India.
Demonstrated experience in the diagnosis and management of common and complex cardiovascular diseases in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Proficiency in performing and interpreting core cardiology investigations (ECG, echocardiography, treadmill stress testing, Holter monitoring, and related procedures).
Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and evidence-based practice skills, with familiarity with national and international cardiology guidelines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including the ability to explain complex information in an accessible manner.
Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory, patient-centered care, with sensitivity to cultural and linguistic diversity, particularly in the local community.
Ability to maintain accurate, timely medical records and contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, and, where applicable, teaching or mentoring of junior clinicians.
Willingness to work on-site in Arunachal Pradesh and adapt to the regional healthcare setting; prior experience in resource-limited or semi-urban settings is an advantage.
