- Job Description - Consultant - Forensic Investigations Compliance Location Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Gurgaon Service Line EY Forensic Integrity Services Position Summary EY is seeking a high-performing Consultant - Forensic Investigations Compliance to support forensic investigations, fraud risk assessments, compliance reviews, and regulatory matters across a diverse portfolio of client engagements. The ideal candidate will be an MBA (preferred) with strong analytical and presentation skills, capable of transforming complex datasets into meaningful business insights and investigative findings.
The role requires individuals with an investigative mindset, strong risk and compliance understanding, and the ability to communicate findings effectively through executive-ready presentations and reports. The successful candidate will work closely with Managers and Senior Managers on investigations, compliance reviews, fraud risk engagements, whistleblower matters, and forensic consulting assignments.
- Forensic Investigations: Support the execution of forensic investigations involving: Employee misconduct; Fraud and financial irregularities; Bribery and corruption; Conflict of interest reviews; Procurement and vendor-related investigations; Compliance and ethics-related matters.
- Evidence gathering and analysis: Gather, analyse, validate, and document evidence from multiple sources.
- Pattern identification: Identify patterns, anomalies, control weaknesses, and potential misconduct indicators.
- Interviews and procedures: Assist in interviews, fact-finding exercises, and investigative procedures.
- Case management: Support case management activities and issue resolution throughout the investigation lifecycle.
- Compliance Risk Reviews: Support compliance reviews and forensic risk assessments across client engagements. Evaluate internal controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes. Identify fraud risk indicators and control gaps. Assess adherence to policies, regulations, and industry standards. Contribute to remediation recommendations and risk mitigation strategies.
- Data Analysis Business Insights: Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify trends, anomalies, and risk indicators. Convert complex information into clear and actionable insights. Develop dashboards, visualisations, and management reports. Support forensic data analytics and investigative reviews. Present findings in a concise and business-oriented manner.
- Reporting Documentation: Prepare high-quality: Investigation reports; Working papers; Risk assessment reports; Executive summaries; Client presentations; Board and management updates.
Maintain accurate documentation supporting investigative conclusions and observations. Ensure workpapers meet quality and defensibility requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional client teams, legal counsel, compliance functions, and internal stakeholders. Participate in client meetings and discussions. Deliver insights and findings through professional presentations and written reports.
Qualifications Experience
- Education: MBA from a reputed institution (Preferred)
- Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Law, or related disciplines
- Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in: Forensic investigations; Risk consulting; Compliance reviews; Internal audit; Fraud risk management; Business investigations; Corporate compliance
