The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, achieving sales targets, maintaining service standards, and leading the store team. The role requires a solid understanding of retail operations, customer engagement, and pet-care products.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Manage day-to-day store activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock availability, and product replenishment.
- Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness, and brand standards.
- Support billing, cash management, and store reporting processes.

Sales and Customer Service

- Drive store sales and contribute towards achieving revenue targets.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable pet-care products and services.
- Ensure customers receive a high-quality and personalised shopping experience.




- Monitor store performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve sales.

Team Management

- Assist with staff scheduling and allocation of daily responsibilities.
- Train, guide, and motivate team members.
- Monitor employee performance and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Lead store operations in the Store Managers absence.

Qualifications and Requirements

- 3–5 years of experience in retail sales, store operations, or a similar role.
- Strong communication, customer service, and team-management skills.
- Ability to understand sales reports, financial statements, and store performance metrics.
- Comfortable working with pets and advising customers on pet-care requirements.
- A genuine interest in animals and the pet-care industry is preferred.
