Job description

- Process accounts payable transactions (invoices, credit notes)

- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders, goods receipt note and resolve discrepancies

- Post invoices into accounting system on a daily and timely basis while ensuring invoices are coded to the correct GL accounts and cost centres.

- Purchase return/rejection credit notes accounting and recovery

- Prepare data and documents for payment processing

- Support month-end activities for JO posting and preparing schedules and reports related to payables.

- Prepare vendor ageing and tracking of debit balances

- Verify transactions for withholding tax treatment

- Analyse vendor accounts, solve negative balances

- Reconcile vendor statements

- Performance according to KPI and company policy.

- Communicate with sourcing to resolve account discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries

- Communicate with internal customers, provide support and solutions

- Communication with counterpart in product company, tax team and auditors

- Participate on improvement and optimization projects.

- Participate in ad-hoc projects and special tasks, as assigned

Experience requirements

- Experience in the AP area / Customer service advantage

Knowledge

- English at a communicative level

- User PC skills (knowledge of ERP/M3 system will be an advantage)

- Excel basics

- Finance & Accounting process understanding & accounting knowledge

Educational requirements

- University degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
