About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Designer Activewear to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing innovative activewear and sportswear silhouettes that combine functionality, comfort, performance, and contemporary style.

The candidate should have a valuable understanding of performance fabrics, garment construction, ergonomic design, trims, branding techniques, and current global sportswear trends.

Role & responsibilities

- Develop and refine innovative garment silhouettes, shapes, fits, and proportions specifically for activewear and sportswear.
- Conduct trend research and analyze global fashion, sportswear, and activewear trends to develop new design concepts.
- Create mood boards, sketches, design concepts, and digital mock-ups to effectively communicate design direction.
- Develop designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, comfort, and performance.
- Apply ergonomic cuts and functional design details to enhance movement, breathability, flexibility, and durability.
- Demonstrate a fair understanding of branding techniques, trims, and detailing suitable for activewear garments.
- Work closely with pattern makers, fabric specialists, product developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the product development process and provide design inputs as required.
- Ensure designs are aligned with the brand identity, target consumer, market trends, and commercial requirements.




- Understand and contribute to the development of tech packs and technical specifications.

- Stay updated on new fabric technologies, sustainable materials, garment construction techniques, and innovations in activewear.
- Support the development of 3D garment visualizations and digital design presentations where required.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in Activewear, Sportswear, Performance Wear, or Athleisure design.
- Strong understanding of activewear silhouettes, garment construction, fit, and functionality.
- Good knowledge of performance fabrics, fabric technology, trims, and garment detailing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design software.
- Knowledge of CLO3D or other 3D garment visualization software will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of tech packs and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of current fashion and sportswear trends.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
