KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and File & Print Services
- Manage user accounts, groups, and organizational units (OUs) in Active Directory and perform access control administration
- Administer Linux servers (RHEL / Ubuntu / CentOS): manage file systems, user permissions, services, and perform basic shell-based operations and troubleshooting
- Monitor server health metrics including CPU, memory, disk utilization, and network performance; escalate anomalies proactively to senior engineers
- Support patch management cycles, software deployments, and endpoint updates across Windows and Linux server environments
- Provide L1 system administration support for infrastructure-related service requests; maintain asset inventory and update configuration documentation (CMDB)
- Assist in deploying and day-to-day administration of VMware vSphere environments: including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, clusters, and resource pools
- Create, configure, clone, and manage Virtual Machines (VMs), templates, and snapshots; assist with VM migrations using vMotion
- Monitor virtual infrastructure health via vCenter dashboards; support vSAN datastore operations and HA/DRS cluster management
- Assist in deploying and managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) sessions using VMware Horizon or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for enterprise clients
- Support VM backup and restore operations using Veeam Backup & Replication; participate in DR testing and documentation
- Assist in provisioning and managing cloud resources: compute instances (EC2 / Azure VMs), object storage (S3 / Azure Blob), and virtual networks (VPCs / VNets / Subnets)
- Monitor cloud environment health using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or GCP Operations Suite; respond to alerts and escalate as per SLA
- Support IAM user and role management: create, modify, and audit access policies and permissions under senior guidance
- Assist in deploying and configuring client workloads on Private Cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cloud resources, configurations, change logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Windows Server administration: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)




- Fundamental Linux administration skills: file system navigation, user and permission management, service control, and shell command usage (Bash)
- Familiarity with remote administration tools: RDP, SSH, PuTTY, and WinSCP
- Understanding of backup concepts: full, incremental, and differential backups; awareness of recovery objectives (RTO / RPO)
- Core networking knowledge: OSI model layers, IP addressing (IPv4 / IPv6), subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and ARP
- Understanding of routing and switching fundamentals: static routes, default gateways, STP, and basic switch port configuration
- Awareness of network security concepts: firewalls, ACLs, NAT, port forwarding, VPN basics, and network segmentation
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools: ping, traceroute/tracert, nslookup, ipconfig/ifconfig, netstat, and Wireshark basics
- Fundamental understanding of hypervisor concepts: Type 1 vs Type 2 hypervisors, virtual machines, snapshots, and resource pooling
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere / ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V through academic coursework, home lab, or online certifications
- Awareness of VDI concepts: thin clients, virtual desktops, session brokering, and virtual desktop lifecycle management
- Understanding of storage fundamentals relevant to virtualisation: datastores, SAN, NAS, and vSAN basics
- Understanding of cloud computing models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and the differences between Public, Private, and Hybrid cloud
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of core cloud services: virtual machines, object storage, virtual networks, security groups, and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Awareness of cloud networking: VPCs, subnets, route tables, Internet Gateways, NAT Gateways, and peering connections
- Awareness of cloud security principles, the shared responsibility model, and basic compliance concepts
- Exposure to monitoring and logging in cloud environments: dashboards, metrics, alerts,



and log management basics

MUST HAVE SKILLS

- Knowledge of Windows Server — Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and basic Group Policy administration
- Fundamental Linux skills — navigating the file system, managing users and permissions, controlling services, and executing shell commands (Bash)
- Networking basics — understanding of OSI model, IP addressing, subnetting (IPv4/IPv6), VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and basic routing and switching concepts
- Basic understanding of virtualisation.
- Awareness of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP covering compute, storage, virtual networks, and IAM basics
- Understanding of cloud computing models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and the distinction between public, private, and hybrid cloud

VALUABLE TO HAVE SKILLS

- Exposure to network protocols and services (OSPF, BGP basics, SNMP, NTP, and syslog configuration)
- Scripting skills for automation: PowerShell for Windows, Bash or Python for Linux and cloud tasks
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, or ESXi administration through home lab or academic projects
- Basic knowledge of vSAN, NFS, or iSCSI storage configurations in virtualised environments
- Awareness of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts: Terraform basics or exposure to Ansible playbooks
- Basic understanding of containerisation: Docker fundamentals and awareness of Kubernetes concepts
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, or cloud-native dashboards
- Knowledge of IT security fundamentals: endpoint security, patch compliance, log analysis, and Zero-Trust principles

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or equivalent discipline
- B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA / Diploma in Computer Engineering with strong technical aptitude and practical skills
- Relevant entry-level certifications are a strong advantage — AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), VMware Technical Associate (VMTA), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Red Hat System Administration (RH124)
- Candidates with home lab experience, academic projects, or internships in system administration, virtualisation, or cloud are highly encouraged to apply

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
