Role Summary:
Join our team as a Senior QA Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality software solutions through robust automation and functional testing practices. We are looking for a seasoned professional with solid hands-on experience in API automation frameworks, DB validation and CI/CD integration, complemented by solid functional QA expertise. This position involves designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, validating complex workflows, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across legacy, web and API layers. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on technical excellence will be key to success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Remain fully hands-on with automation scripting, framework development, and test execution.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Selenium-based automation frameworks for legacy, web, and API applications.
• Write and execute automated test scripts to validate complex workflows and ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to align testing strategies with business objectives.
• Designed, developed, and maintained API automation frameworks using tools such as REST Assured / Playwright API / Postman, integrated automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing coverage
• Experience in validating REST APIs and backend data using Postman and SQL, ensuring end-to-end data integrity and business rule compliance.
• Performed database validations by writing and executing complex SQL queries to verify data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across backend systems.
• Automated RESTful API test cases covering functional, regression,



and negative scenarios, validating status codes, headers, response schemas, and business logic.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive timely resolution with development teams.
• Stay updated with emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve automation efficiency and introduce process improvements.
• Prepare detailed test plans, execution reports, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of test cases and maintain quality under tight deadlines.
• Switch seamlessly between automation and functional testing responsibilities as project needs and situations arise, ensuring flexibility and comprehensive quality coverage

Requirements
Minimum Years of Experience Description
5+ years Minimum of 5 years of progressively complex experience in software engineering or related fields.

Basic Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on test automation and functional testing.
• Hands-on expertise in Selenium and proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or C#).
• Solid experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
• Strong understanding of test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest. • Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and deliver effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tools such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. • ISTQB certification or an equivalent qualification is considered a plus.
