We are looking for a skilled Golang Engineer with 6 years of experience to work on the global Loyalty and Benefits platform in American Express. The ideal candidate should have excellent soft skills, strong technical ability, and an extensive passion to learn.

Roles and Responsibility

- Design, develop, and enhance features in the Account domain using Golang.
- Collaborate with other Engineers across the platform to share knowledge and principles.
- Work within a Scrum framework as part of a team to deliver business functions and customer journeys.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using Golang and microservice architecture.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Job Requirements

- Demonstrable experience in at least one backend type-secure programming language, preferably Golang.
- Comfortable with backend microservice architecture and communication specifically REST and asynchronous messaging services like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Test-Driven Development (TDD),



Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and Waterfall.
- Knowledge of software engineering methodology and test-driven development.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or another technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Solid understanding of test-driven development, including unit, component, functional, system integration, and regression tests.
- Experience in professional software development.
- Knowledge of any or all of the following technologies is desired: Kafka, Postgres, Golang, Git, gRPC, Docker, GraphQL.
- Experienced in continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), and continuous testing (CT), including tools such as Jenkins, Rally, and JIRA, and version control systems like GIT or SVN.
